Booking...

So, January 30th was my last day of work and the past 11 days have been AWESOME! We've started doing a lot of our own booking and it's alreay taken a ton of effort. I still work just as much as I use to, only it's really fun and exciting; researching similar bands, finding venues & contacting them, negotiating dates & dollars, setting a tour schedule, promoting, watching for scheduling conflicts with bigger bands, and of course learning new songs and having band practice. And did I mention that I love the freedom and lazy stereotype that comes with being a professional musician? Well, I do! I still haven't quite got the hang of the other stereotype - doing drugs, but maybe I can work up to that if it becomes an issue.
